حمٓ
ﱂ
Ha Mim
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
41:2
تَنزِيلٌۭ
مِّنَ
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ
ٱلرَّحِيمِ
ﱇ
A revelation from the Lord of Mercy, the Giver of Mercy;
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
41:3
كِتَـٰبٌۭ
فُصِّلَتْ
ءَايَـٰتُهُۥ
قُرْءَانًا
عَرَبِيًّۭا
لِّقَوْمٍۢ
يَعْلَمُونَ
ﱏ
a Scripture whose verses are made distinct as a Quran in Arabic for people who understand,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
41:4
بَشِيرًۭا
وَنَذِيرًۭا
فَأَعْرَضَ
أَكْثَرُهُمْ
فَهُمْ
لَا
يَسْمَعُونَ
ﱗ
giving good news and warning. Yet most of them turn away and so do not hear.

41:5
وَقَالُوا۟
قُلُوبُنَا
فِىٓ
أَكِنَّةٍۢ
مِّمَّا
تَدْعُونَآ
إِلَيْهِ
وَفِىٓ
ءَاذَانِنَا
وَقْرٌۭ
وَمِنۢ
بَيْنِنَا
وَبَيْنِكَ
حِجَابٌۭ
فَٱعْمَلْ
إِنَّنَا
عَـٰمِلُونَ
ﱩ
They say, ‘Our hearts are encased against [the faith] you call us to; our ears are heavy; there is a barrier between us and you. So you do whatever you want, and so shall we.’

41:6
قُلْ
إِنَّمَآ
أَنَا۠
بَشَرٌۭ
مِّثْلُكُمْ
يُوحَىٰٓ
إِلَىَّ
أَنَّمَآ
إِلَـٰهُكُمْ
إِلَـٰهٌۭ
وَٰحِدٌۭ
فَٱسْتَقِيمُوٓا۟
إِلَيْهِ
وَٱسْتَغْفِرُوهُ ۗ
وَوَيْلٌۭ
لِّلْمُشْرِكِينَ
ﱻ
Say [Prophet], ‘I am only a mortal like you, [but] it has been revealed to me that your God is One. Take the straight path to Him and seek His forgiveness. Woe to the idolaters,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
41:7
ٱلَّذِينَ
لَا
يُؤْتُونَ
ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
وَهُم
بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
هُمْ
كَـٰفِرُونَ
ﲄ
who do not pay the prescribed alms and refuse to believe in the world to come!

41:8
إِنَّ
ٱلَّذِينَ
ءَامَنُوا۟
وَعَمِلُوا۟
ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ
لَهُمْ
أَجْرٌ
غَيْرُ
مَمْنُونٍۢ
ﲎ
Those who believe and do good deeds will have a reward that never fails.’

41:9
۞ قُلْ
أَئِنَّكُمْ
لَتَكْفُرُونَ
بِٱلَّذِى
خَلَقَ
ٱلْأَرْضَ
فِى
يَوْمَيْنِ
وَتَجْعَلُونَ
لَهُۥٓ
أَندَادًۭا ۚ
ذَٰلِكَ
رَبُّ
ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
ﲟ
Say, ‘How can you disregard the One who created the earth in two Days? How can you set up other gods as His equals? He is the Lord of all the worlds!’

41:10
وَجَعَلَ
فِيهَا
رَوَٰسِىَ
مِن
فَوْقِهَا
وَبَـٰرَكَ
فِيهَا
وَقَدَّرَ
فِيهَآ
أَقْوَٰتَهَا
فِىٓ
أَرْبَعَةِ
أَيَّامٍۢ
سَوَآءًۭ
لِّلسَّآئِلِينَ
ﲯ
He placed solid mountains on it, blessed it, measured out its varied provisions for all who seek them––all in four Days.

41:11
ثُمَّ
ٱسْتَوَىٰٓ
إِلَى
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
وَهِىَ
دُخَانٌۭ
فَقَالَ
لَهَا
وَلِلْأَرْضِ
ٱئْتِيَا
طَوْعًا
أَوْ
كَرْهًۭا
قَالَتَآ
أَتَيْنَا
طَآئِعِينَ
ﳀ
Then He turned to the sky, which was smoke––He said to it and the earth, ‘Come into being, willingly or not,’ and they said, ‘We come willingly’––
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
41:12
فَقَضَىٰهُنَّ
سَبْعَ
سَمَـٰوَاتٍۢ
فِى
يَوْمَيْنِ
وَأَوْحَىٰ
فِى
كُلِّ
سَمَآءٍ
أَمْرَهَا ۚ
وَزَيَّنَّا
ٱلسَّمَآءَ
ٱلدُّنْيَا
بِمَصَـٰبِيحَ
وَحِفْظًۭا ۚ
ذَٰلِكَ
تَقْدِيرُ
ٱلْعَزِيزِ
ٱلْعَلِيمِ
ﱖ
and in two Days He formed seven heavens, and assigned an order to each. We have made the nearest one beautifully illuminated and secure. Such is the design of the Almighty, the All Knowing.

41:13
فَإِنْ
أَعْرَضُوا۟
فَقُلْ
أَنذَرْتُكُمْ
صَـٰعِقَةًۭ
مِّثْلَ
صَـٰعِقَةِ
عَادٍۢ
وَثَمُودَ
ﱠ
If they turn away, say, ‘I have warned you about a blast like the one which struck 'Ad and Thamud:

41:14
إِذْ
جَآءَتْهُمُ
ٱلرُّسُلُ
مِنۢ
بَيْنِ
أَيْدِيهِمْ
وَمِنْ
خَلْفِهِمْ
أَلَّا
تَعْبُدُوٓا۟
إِلَّا
ٱللَّهَ ۖ
قَالُوا۟
لَوْ
شَآءَ
رَبُّنَا
لَأَنزَلَ
مَلَـٰٓئِكَةًۭ
فَإِنَّا
بِمَآ
أُرْسِلْتُم
بِهِۦ
كَـٰفِرُونَ
ﱹ
when their messengers came to them, from all angles, saying, “Serve no one but God,” they said, “If our Lord had wished, He would have sent down angels. We do not believe in the message with which you have been sent.”

41:15
فَأَمَّا
عَادٌۭ
فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟
فِى
ٱلْأَرْضِ
بِغَيْرِ
ٱلْحَقِّ
وَقَالُوا۟
مَنْ
أَشَدُّ
مِنَّا
قُوَّةً ۖ
أَوَلَمْ
يَرَوْا۟
أَنَّ
ٱللَّهَ
ٱلَّذِى
خَلَقَهُمْ
هُوَ
أَشَدُّ
مِنْهُمْ
قُوَّةًۭ ۖ
وَكَانُوا۟
بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا
يَجْحَدُونَ
ﲕ
The people of 'Ad behaved arrogantly throughout the land without any right, saying, “Who could be stronger than us?” Did they not realize that God, who created them, was stronger than them?’ They continued to reject Our message,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
41:16
فَأَرْسَلْنَا
عَلَيْهِمْ
رِيحًۭا
صَرْصَرًۭا
فِىٓ
أَيَّامٍۢ
نَّحِسَاتٍۢ
لِّنُذِيقَهُمْ
عَذَابَ
ٱلْخِزْىِ
فِى
ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ
وَلَعَذَابُ
ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
أَخْزَىٰ ۖ
وَهُمْ
لَا
يُنصَرُونَ
ﲫ
so We let a roaring wind loose on them for a few disastrous days to make them taste the punishment of shame in this world; more shameful still will be the punishment of the life to come, and they will not be helped.

41:17
وَأَمَّا
ثَمُودُ
فَهَدَيْنَـٰهُمْ
فَٱسْتَحَبُّوا۟
ٱلْعَمَىٰ
عَلَى
ٱلْهُدَىٰ
فَأَخَذَتْهُمْ
صَـٰعِقَةُ
ٱلْعَذَابِ
ٱلْهُونِ
بِمَا
كَانُوا۟
يَكْسِبُونَ
ﲺ
As for Thamud, We gave them guidance but they preferred blindness, so they were struck by a blast of humiliating punishment for their misdeeds.

41:18
وَنَجَّيْنَا
ٱلَّذِينَ
ءَامَنُوا۟
وَكَانُوا۟
يَتَّقُونَ
ﳀ
We saved those who believed and were mindful of God.

41:19
وَيَوْمَ
يُحْشَرُ
أَعْدَآءُ
ٱللَّهِ
إِلَى
ٱلنَّارِ
فَهُمْ
يُوزَعُونَ
ﳉ
On the Day when God’s enemies are gathered up for the Fire and driven onward,

41:20
حَتَّىٰٓ
إِذَا
مَا
جَآءُوهَا
شَهِدَ
عَلَيْهِمْ
سَمْعُهُمْ
وَأَبْصَـٰرُهُمْ
وَجُلُودُهُم
بِمَا
كَانُوا۟
يَعْمَلُونَ
ﳖ
their ears, eyes, and skins will, when they reach it, testify against them for their misdeeds.
