23:1
قَدْ
أَفْلَحَ
ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
ﱄ
[How] prosperous are the believers!
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
23:2
ٱلَّذِينَ
هُمْ
فِى
صَلَاتِهِمْ
خَـٰشِعُونَ
ﱊ
Those who pray humbly,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
23:3
وَٱلَّذِينَ
هُمْ
عَنِ
ٱللَّغْوِ
مُعْرِضُونَ
ﱐ
who shun idle talk,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
23:4
وَٱلَّذِينَ
هُمْ
لِلزَّكَوٰةِ
فَـٰعِلُونَ
ﱕ
who pay the prescribed alms,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
23:5
وَٱلَّذِينَ
هُمْ
لِفُرُوجِهِمْ
حَـٰفِظُونَ
ﱚ
who guard their chastity
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
23:6
إِلَّا
عَلَىٰٓ
أَزْوَٰجِهِمْ
أَوْ
مَا
مَلَكَتْ
أَيْمَـٰنُهُمْ
فَإِنَّهُمْ
غَيْرُ
مَلُومِينَ
ﱥ
except with their spouses or their slaves––with these they are not to blame,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
23:7
فَمَنِ
ٱبْتَغَىٰ
وَرَآءَ
ذَٰلِكَ
فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ
هُمُ
ٱلْعَادُونَ
ﱭ
but anyone who seeks more than this is exceeding the limits––

23:8
وَٱلَّذِينَ
هُمْ
لِأَمَـٰنَـٰتِهِمْ
وَعَهْدِهِمْ
رَٰعُونَ
ﱳ
who are faithful to their trusts and pledges
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
23:9
وَٱلَّذِينَ
هُمْ
عَلَىٰ
صَلَوَٰتِهِمْ
يُحَافِظُونَ
ﱹ
and who keep up their prayers,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
23:10
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ
هُمُ
ٱلْوَٰرِثُونَ
ﱽ
will rightly be given
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
23:11
ٱلَّذِينَ
يَرِثُونَ
ٱلْفِرْدَوْسَ
هُمْ
فِيهَا
خَـٰلِدُونَ
ﲄ
Paradise as their own, there to remain.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
23:12
وَلَقَدْ
خَلَقْنَا
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ
مِن
سُلَـٰلَةٍۢ
مِّن
طِينٍۢ
ﲌ
We created man from an essence of clay,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
23:13
ثُمَّ
جَعَلْنَـٰهُ
نُطْفَةًۭ
فِى
قَرَارٍۢ
مَّكِينٍۢ
ﲓ
then We placed him as a drop of fluid in a safe place,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
23:14
ثُمَّ
خَلَقْنَا
ٱلنُّطْفَةَ
عَلَقَةًۭ
فَخَلَقْنَا
ٱلْعَلَقَةَ
مُضْغَةًۭ
فَخَلَقْنَا
ٱلْمُضْغَةَ
عِظَـٰمًۭا
فَكَسَوْنَا
ٱلْعِظَـٰمَ
لَحْمًۭا
ثُمَّ
أَنشَأْنَـٰهُ
خَلْقًا
ءَاخَرَ ۚ
فَتَبَارَكَ
ٱللَّهُ
أَحْسَنُ
ٱلْخَـٰلِقِينَ
ﲪ
then We made that drop into a clinging form, and We made that form into a lump of flesh, and We made that lump into bones, and We clothed those bones with flesh, and later We made him into other forms––glory be to God, the best of creators!––

23:15
ثُمَّ
إِنَّكُم
بَعْدَ
ذَٰلِكَ
لَمَيِّتُونَ
ﲰ
then you will die
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
23:16
ثُمَّ
إِنَّكُمْ
يَوْمَ
ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ
تُبْعَثُونَ
ﲶ
and then, on the Day of Resurrection, you will be raised up again.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
23:17
وَلَقَدْ
خَلَقْنَا
فَوْقَكُمْ
سَبْعَ
طَرَآئِقَ
وَمَا
كُنَّا
عَنِ
ٱلْخَلْقِ
غَـٰفِلِينَ
ﳁ
We created seven levels above you: We are never unmindful of Our creation.

23:18
وَأَنزَلْنَا
مِنَ
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
مَآءًۢ
بِقَدَرٍۢ
فَأَسْكَنَّـٰهُ
فِى
ٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ
وَإِنَّا
عَلَىٰ
ذَهَابٍۭ
بِهِۦ
لَقَـٰدِرُونَ
ﱏ
We sent water down from the sky in due measure and lodged it in the earth––We have the power to take it all away if We so wish––

23:19
فَأَنشَأْنَا
لَكُم
بِهِۦ
جَنَّـٰتٍۢ
مِّن
نَّخِيلٍۢ
وَأَعْنَـٰبٍۢ
لَّكُمْ
فِيهَا
فَوَٰكِهُ
كَثِيرَةٌۭ
وَمِنْهَا
تَأْكُلُونَ
ﱝ
with it We produced for you gardens of date palms and vines, with many fruits there for you to eat,

23:20
وَشَجَرَةًۭ
تَخْرُجُ
مِن
طُورِ
سَيْنَآءَ
تَنۢبُتُ
بِٱلدُّهْنِ
وَصِبْغٍۢ
لِّلْـَٔاكِلِينَ
ﱧ
and a tree, growing out of Mount Sinai, that produces oil and seasoning for your food.
