56:1
إِذَا
وَقَعَتِ
ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ
ﱶ
When that which is coming arrives,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
56:2
لَيْسَ
لِوَقْعَتِهَا
كَاذِبَةٌ
ﱺ
no one will be able to deny it has come,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
56:3
خَافِضَةٌۭ
رَّافِعَةٌ
ﱽ
bringing low and raising high.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
56:4
إِذَا
رُجَّتِ
ٱلْأَرْضُ
رَجًّۭا
ﲂ
When the earth is shaken violently
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
56:5
وَبُسَّتِ
ٱلْجِبَالُ
بَسًّۭا
ﲆ
and the mountains are ground to powder
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
56:6
فَكَانَتْ
هَبَآءًۭ
مُّنۢبَثًّۭا
ﲊ
and turn to scattered dust,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
56:7
وَكُنتُمْ
أَزْوَٰجًۭا
ثَلَـٰثَةًۭ
ﲎ
then you will be sorted into three classes.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
56:8
فَأَصْحَـٰبُ
ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ
مَآ
أَصْحَـٰبُ
ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ
ﲔ
Those on the Right––what people they are!
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
56:9
وَأَصْحَـٰبُ
ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ
مَآ
أَصْحَـٰبُ
ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ
ﲚ
Those on the Left––what people they are!
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
56:10
وَٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ
ٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ
ﲝ
And those in front––ahead indeed!
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
56:11
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ
ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ
ﲠ
For these will be the ones brought nearest to God
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
56:12
فِى
جَنَّـٰتِ
ٱلنَّعِيمِ
ﲤ
in Gardens of Bliss:
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
56:13
ثُلَّةٌۭ
مِّنَ
ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
ﲨ
many from the past
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
56:14
وَقَلِيلٌۭ
مِّنَ
ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
ﲬ
and a few from later generations.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
56:15
عَلَىٰ
سُرُرٍۢ
مَّوْضُونَةٍۢ
ﲰ
On couches of well-woven cloth
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
56:16
مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ
عَلَيْهَا
مُتَقَـٰبِلِينَ
ﲴ
they will sit facing each other;
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
56:17
يَطُوفُ
عَلَيْهِمْ
وِلْدَٰنٌۭ
مُّخَلَّدُونَ
ﱅ
everlasting youths will go round among them
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
56:18
بِأَكْوَابٍۢ
وَأَبَارِيقَ
وَكَأْسٍۢ
مِّن
مَّعِينٍۢ
ﱋ
with glasses, flagons, and cups of a pure drink
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
56:19
لَّا
يُصَدَّعُونَ
عَنْهَا
وَلَا
يُنزِفُونَ
ﱑ
that causes no headache or intoxication;
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
56:20
وَفَـٰكِهَةٍۢ
مِّمَّا
يَتَخَيَّرُونَ
ﱕ
[there will be] any fruit they choose;
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
