75:1
لَآ
أُقْسِمُ
بِيَوْمِ
ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ
By the Day of Resurrection

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:2
وَلَآ
أُقْسِمُ
بِٱلنَّفْسِ
ٱللَّوَّامَةِ
and by the self-reproaching soul!

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:3
أَيَحْسَبُ
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ
أَلَّن
نَّجْمَعَ
عِظَامَهُۥ
Does man think We shall not put his bones back together?

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:4
بَلَىٰ
قَـٰدِرِينَ
عَلَىٰٓ
أَن
نُّسَوِّىَ
بَنَانَهُۥ
In fact, We can reshape his very fingertips.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:5
بَلْ
يُرِيدُ
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ
لِيَفْجُرَ
أَمَامَهُۥ
Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him:

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:6
يَسْـَٔلُ
أَيَّانَ
يَوْمُ
ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ
he says, ‘So, when will this Day of Resurrection be?’

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:7
فَإِذَا
بَرِقَ
ٱلْبَصَرُ
When eyes are dazzled

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:8
وَخَسَفَ
ٱلْقَمَرُ
and the moon eclipsed,

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:9
وَجُمِعَ
ٱلشَّمْسُ
وَٱلْقَمَرُ
when the sun and the moon are brought together,

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:10
يَقُولُ
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ
يَوْمَئِذٍ
أَيْنَ
ٱلْمَفَرُّ
on that Day man will say, ‘Where can I escape?’

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:11
كَلَّا
لَا
وَزَرَ
Truly, there is no refuge:

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:12
إِلَىٰ
رَبِّكَ
يَوْمَئِذٍ
ٱلْمُسْتَقَرُّ
they will all return to your Lord on that Day.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:13
يُنَبَّؤُا۟
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ
يَوْمَئِذٍۭ
بِمَا
قَدَّمَ
وَأَخَّرَ
On that Day, man will be told what he put first and what he put last.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:14
بَلِ
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ
عَلَىٰ
نَفْسِهِۦ
بَصِيرَةٌۭ
Truly, man is a clear witness against himself,

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:15
وَلَوْ
أَلْقَىٰ
مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ
despite all the excuses he may put forward.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:16
لَا
تُحَرِّكْ
بِهِۦ
لِسَانَكَ
لِتَعْجَلَ
بِهِۦٓ
[Prophet], do not rush your tongue in an attempt to hasten [your memorization of] the Revelation:

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:17
إِنَّ
عَلَيْنَا
جَمْعَهُۥ
وَقُرْءَانَهُۥ
We shall make sure of its safe collection and recitation.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:18
فَإِذَا
قَرَأْنَـٰهُ
فَٱتَّبِعْ
قُرْءَانَهُۥ
When We have recited it, repeat the recitation

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:19
ثُمَّ
إِنَّ
عَلَيْنَا
بَيَانَهُۥ
and We shall make it clear.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:20
كَلَّا
بَلْ
تُحِبُّونَ
ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ
Truly you [people] love this fleeting world

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:21
وَتَذَرُونَ
ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ
and neglect the life to come.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:22
وُجُوهٌۭ
يَوْمَئِذٍۢ
نَّاضِرَةٌ
On that Day there will be radiant faces,

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:23
إِلَىٰ
رَبِّهَا
نَاظِرَةٌۭ
looking towards their Lord,

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:24
وَوُجُوهٌۭ
يَوْمَئِذٍۭ
بَاسِرَةٌۭ
and on that Day there will be the sad and despairing faces

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:25
تَظُنُّ
أَن
يُفْعَلَ
بِهَا
فَاقِرَةٌۭ
of those who realize that a great calamity is about to befall them.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:26
كَلَّآ
إِذَا
بَلَغَتِ
ٱلتَّرَاقِىَ
Truly, when the soul reaches the collarbone;

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:27
وَقِيلَ
مَنْ ۜ
رَاقٍۢ
when it is said, ‘Could any charm-healer save him now?’;

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:28
وَظَنَّ
أَنَّهُ
ٱلْفِرَاقُ
when he knows it is the final parting;

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:29
وَٱلْتَفَّتِ
ٱلسَّاقُ
بِٱلسَّاقِ
when his legs are brought together:

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:30
إِلَىٰ
رَبِّكَ
يَوْمَئِذٍ
ٱلْمَسَاقُ
on that day he will be driven towards your Lord.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:31
فَلَا
صَدَّقَ
وَلَا
صَلَّىٰ
He neither believed nor prayed,

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:32
وَلَـٰكِن
كَذَّبَ
وَتَوَلَّىٰ
but denied the truth and turned away,

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:33
ثُمَّ
ذَهَبَ
إِلَىٰٓ
أَهْلِهِۦ
يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ
walking back to his people with a conceited swagger.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:34
أَوْلَىٰ
لَكَ
فَأَوْلَىٰ
Closer and closer it comes to you.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:35
ثُمَّ
أَوْلَىٰ
لَكَ
فَأَوْلَىٰٓ
Closer and closer still.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:36
أَيَحْسَبُ
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ
أَن
يُتْرَكَ
سُدًى
Does man think he will be left alone?

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:37
أَلَمْ
يَكُ
نُطْفَةًۭ
مِّن
مَّنِىٍّۢ
يُمْنَىٰ
Was he not just a drop of spilt-out sperm,

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:38
ثُمَّ
كَانَ
عَلَقَةًۭ
فَخَلَقَ
فَسَوَّىٰ
which became a clinging form, which God shaped in due proportion,

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:39
فَجَعَلَ
مِنْهُ
ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ
ٱلذَّكَرَ
وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ
fashioning from it the two sexes, male and female?

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

75:40
أَلَيْسَ
ذَٰلِكَ
بِقَـٰدِرٍ
عَلَىٰٓ
أَن
يُحْـِۧىَ
ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ
Does He who can do this not have the power to bring the dead back to life?

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

End of Al-Fatihah
