96:1
ٱقْرَأْ
بِٱسْمِ
رَبِّكَ
ٱلَّذِى
خَلَقَ
ﲊ
Read! In the name of your Lord who created:
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
96:2
خَلَقَ
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ
مِنْ
عَلَقٍ
ﲏ
He created man from a clinging form.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
96:3
ٱقْرَأْ
وَرَبُّكَ
ٱلْأَكْرَمُ
ﲓ
Read! Your Lord is the Most Bountiful One
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
96:4
ٱلَّذِى
عَلَّمَ
بِٱلْقَلَمِ
ﲗ
who taught by [means of] the pen,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
96:5
عَلَّمَ
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ
مَا
لَمْ
يَعْلَمْ
ﲝ
who taught man what he did not know.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
96:6
كَلَّآ
إِنَّ
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ
لَيَطْغَىٰٓ
ﲢ
But man exceeds all bounds
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
96:7
أَن
رَّءَاهُ
ٱسْتَغْنَىٰٓ
ﲦ
when he thinks he is self-sufficient:
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
96:8
إِنَّ
إِلَىٰ
رَبِّكَ
ٱلرُّجْعَىٰٓ
ﲫ
[Prophet], all will return to your Lord.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
96:9
أَرَءَيْتَ
ٱلَّذِى
يَنْهَىٰ
ﲯ
Have you seen the man who forbids
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
96:10
عَبْدًا
إِذَا
صَلَّىٰٓ
ﲳ
[Our] servant to pray?
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
96:11
أَرَءَيْتَ
إِن
كَانَ
عَلَى
ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ
ﲹ
Have you seen whether he is rightly guided,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
96:12
أَوْ
أَمَرَ
بِٱلتَّقْوَىٰٓ
ﲽ
or encourages true piety?
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
96:13
أَرَءَيْتَ
إِن
كَذَّبَ
وَتَوَلَّىٰٓ
ﱅ
Have you seen whether he denies the truth and turns away from it?
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
96:14
أَلَمْ
يَعْلَم
بِأَنَّ
ٱللَّهَ
يَرَىٰ
ﱋ
Does he not realize that God sees all?
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
96:15
كَلَّا
لَئِن
لَّمْ
يَنتَهِ
لَنَسْفَعًۢا
بِٱلنَّاصِيَةِ
ﱒ
No! If he does not stop, We shall drag him by his forehead––
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
96:16
نَاصِيَةٍۢ
كَـٰذِبَةٍ
خَاطِئَةٍۢ
ﱖ
his lying, sinful forehead.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
96:17
فَلْيَدْعُ
نَادِيَهُۥ
ﱙ
Let him summon his comrades;
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
96:18
سَنَدْعُ
ٱلزَّبَانِيَةَ
ﱜ
We shall summon the guards of Hell.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
96:19
كَلَّا
لَا
تُطِعْهُ
وَٱسْجُدْ
وَٱقْتَرِب ۩
ﱤ
No! Do not obey him [Prophet]: bow down in worship and draw close.
