25:21
۞ وَقَالَ
ٱلَّذِينَ
لَا
يَرْجُونَ
لِقَآءَنَا
لَوْلَآ
أُنزِلَ
عَلَيْنَا
ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ
أَوْ
نَرَىٰ
رَبَّنَا ۗ
لَقَدِ
ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟
فِىٓ
أَنفُسِهِمْ
وَعَتَوْ
عُتُوًّۭا
كَبِيرًۭا
Those who do not fear to meet Us say, ‘Why are the angels not sent down to us?’ or ‘Why can we not see our Lord?’ They are too proud of themselves and too insolent.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

25:22
يَوْمَ
يَرَوْنَ
ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ
لَا
بُشْرَىٰ
يَوْمَئِذٍۢ
لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ
وَيَقُولُونَ
حِجْرًۭا
مَّحْجُورًۭا

وَقَدِمْنَآ
إِلَىٰ
مَا
عَمِلُوا۟
مِنْ
عَمَلٍۢ

هَبَآءًۭ
مَّنثُورًا
and We shall turn to the deeds they have done and scatter them like dust.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

أَصْحَـٰبُ
ٱلْجَنَّةِ

وَأَحْسَنُ
مَقِيلًۭا
But the companions in the Garden will have a better home on that Day, and a fairer place to rest.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

25:25
وَيَوْمَ
تَشَقَّقُ
ٱلسَّمَآءُ
بِٱلْغَمَـٰمِ
وَنُزِّلَ
ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ
تَنزِيلًا
On the Day when the sky and its clouds are split apart and the angels sent down in streams,

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

25:26
ٱلْمُلْكُ
يَوْمَئِذٍ
ٱلْحَقُّ
لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۚ
وَكَانَ
يَوْمًا
عَلَى
ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
عَسِيرًۭا
on that Day, true authority belongs to the Lord of Mercy. It will be a grievous Day for the disbelievers.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

25:27
وَيَوْمَ
يَعَضُّ
ٱلظَّالِمُ
عَلَىٰ
يَدَيْهِ
يَقُولُ
يَـٰلَيْتَنِى
ٱتَّخَذْتُ
مَعَ
ٱلرَّسُولِ
سَبِيلًۭا
On that Day the evildoer will bite his own hand and say, ‘If only I had taken the same path as the Messenger.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

25:28
يَـٰوَيْلَتَىٰ
لَيْتَنِى
لَمْ
أَتَّخِذْ
فُلَانًا
خَلِيلًۭا
Woe is me! If only I had not taken so and so as a friend-

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

25:29
لَّقَدْ
أَضَلَّنِى
عَنِ
ٱلذِّكْرِ
بَعْدَ
إِذْ
جَآءَنِى ۗ
وَكَانَ
ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ
لِلْإِنسَـٰنِ
خَذُولًۭا
he led me away from the Revelation after it reached me. Satan has always betrayed mankind.’

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

25:30
وَقَالَ
ٱلرَّسُولُ
يَـٰرَبِّ
إِنَّ
قَوْمِى
ٱتَّخَذُوا۟
هَـٰذَا
ٱلْقُرْءَانَ
مَهْجُورًۭا
The Messenger has said, ‘Lord, my people treat this Quran as something to be shunned,’

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

25:31
وَكَذَٰلِكَ
جَعَلْنَا
لِكُلِّ
نَبِىٍّ
عَدُوًّۭا
مِّنَ
ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ۗ
وَكَفَىٰ
بِرَبِّكَ
هَادِيًۭا
وَنَصِيرًۭا
but We have always appointed adversaries from the wicked, for every prophet: Your Lord is sufficient guide and helper.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

25:32
وَقَالَ
ٱلَّذِينَ
كَفَرُوا۟
لَوْلَا
نُزِّلَ
عَلَيْهِ
ٱلْقُرْءَانُ
جُمْلَةًۭ
وَٰحِدَةًۭ ۚ
كَذَٰلِكَ
لِنُثَبِّتَ
بِهِۦ
فُؤَادَكَ ۖ
وَرَتَّلْنَـٰهُ
تَرْتِيلًۭا
The disbelievers also say, ‘Why was the Quran not sent down to him all at once?’ We sent it in this way to strengthen your heart [Prophet]; We gave it to you in gradual revelation.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

25:33
وَلَا
يَأْتُونَكَ
بِمَثَلٍ
إِلَّا
جِئْنَـٰكَ
بِٱلْحَقِّ
وَأَحْسَنَ
تَفْسِيرًا
They cannot put any argument to you without Our bringing you the truth and the best explanation.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

25:34
ٱلَّذِينَ
يُحْشَرُونَ
عَلَىٰ
وُجُوهِهِمْ
إِلَىٰ
جَهَنَّمَ
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ
شَرٌّۭ
مَّكَانًۭا
وَأَضَلُّ
سَبِيلًۭا
It is those driven [falling], on their faces,to Hell who will be in the worst place- they are the furthest from the right path.

25:35
وَلَقَدْ
ءَاتَيْنَا
مُوسَى
ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ
وَجَعَلْنَا
مَعَهُۥٓ
أَخَاهُ
هَـٰرُونَ
وَزِيرًۭا
We gave Moses the Book and appointed his brother Aaron to help him.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

25:36
فَقُلْنَا
ٱذْهَبَآ
إِلَى
ٱلْقَوْمِ
ٱلَّذِينَ
كَذَّبُوا۟
بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا
فَدَمَّرْنَـٰهُمْ
تَدْمِيرًۭا
We said, ‘Go, both of you, to the people who have rejected Our signs.’ Later We destroyed those people utterly.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

وَقَوْمَ
نُوحٍۢ
لَّمَّا
كَذَّبُوا۟
ٱلرُّسُلَ
أَغْرَقْنَـٰهُمْ
وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ
لِلنَّاسِ
ءَايَةًۭ ۖ
وَأَعْتَدْنَا
لِلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
عَذَابًا
أَلِيمًۭا
The people of Noah, too: when they rejected their messengers, We drowned them and made them an example to all people. We have prepared a painful torment for the evildoers,

وَعَادًۭا
وَثَمُودَا۟
وَأَصْحَـٰبَ
ٱلرَّسِّ
وَقُرُونًۢا
بَيْنَ
ذَٰلِكَ
كَثِيرًۭا
as We did for the people of Ad, Thamud, and al-Rass, and many generations in between.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

25:39
وَكُلًّۭا
ضَرَبْنَا
لَهُ
ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَ ۖ
وَكُلًّۭا
تَبَّرْنَا
تَتْبِيرًۭا
To each of them We gave warnings, and each of them We destroyed completely.

M.A.S. Abdel Haleem

25:40
وَلَقَدْ
أَتَوْا۟
عَلَى
ٱلْقَرْيَةِ
ٱلَّتِىٓ
أُمْطِرَتْ
مَطَرَ
ٱلسَّوْءِ ۚ
أَفَلَمْ
يَكُونُوا۟
يَرَوْنَهَا ۚ
بَلْ
كَانُوا۟
لَا
يَرْجُونَ
نُشُورًۭا
